We’ve got you covered!  We’re going to help you let your light shine, and  — be here for you throughout your whole (dream) job process and beyond! All clients and all projects remain on file with us indefinitely, so you can always contact us if you can’t find your resume that we created for you, if you need copies, or if you are ready for an update!

Ideally, you should only need to have ONE awesome professional resume created in your PROFESSIONAL LIFETIME; however, so many folks try to do the resume themselves, download a boring (or crazy-busy) template off the internet, copy a co-worker’s to (try to) make their experiences fit into the predetermined categories, or hire a big-box resume business focused on quantity over quality instead of connecting with an expert writer at a  writing boutique.  You need one amazing resume, one time (then you have it updated as your skills and experiences blossom!) If you are looking for a resume that is similar to a template you found online or that you have seen over and over, we’re not the writing service for you. We create and design our resumes from scratch. Our goal is to get you noticed and to get you interviews. Our resumes work, but they are not the norm; however, they are keyword optimized to pass through today’s Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). You will find excerpts from real world, goosebump-inflicting, jaw-dropping resumes, professional profiles, and CVs we crafted from scratch. From captains of ships to superintendents of urban city schools, k9 trainers in the desert to master gardeners, and bounty hunters to naturalists, we have worked with thousands of people striving to be everything they were meant to be in this brief and beautiful life.

You’ll find excerpts from cool cover letters we’ve written for others; sometimes what a person has done thus far in his life doesn’t reflect where he wants to be – so an amazing cover letter, just an amazing cover letter – is best to send to that potential employer. The resume would simply be a distraction.

We’ll research and find wonderful jobs available in each profession; most time we know when a position becomes available before the actual employer does since most people get their resumes written before they give their 2 week’s notice for that path they were always meant to be on.

You’ll rethink things you already knew, just never articulated to anyone else, maybe not even yourself. You’ll nod your head in agreement and make life-enhancing decisions without another day’s delay.

On these pages you will agree, affirm, and realize that you are NOT your job. We know THAT one is a hard one to swallow for many of you, but it’s the truth. Your role, your title, your position, your responsibilities at work, your job description, and your salary do not define you – the essence of you, the substance of you. Hey, everyone knows a book-smart doctor who can’t hold a conversation of substance with his own dad. Is he first a doctor or a son? Though you may physically work 60+ hours at your job, and spend 10+ hours a week in rush hour traffic getting there or getting home from there, and spend an additional 4 hours a night checking your voice mail and reading your email, and spend your dream time tossing and turning like a salad thinking about unfinished projects, deadlines, presentations to make, or the next day’s agenda ~ your job does n-o-t define you. If you thought perhaps it did, you were wrong. You are a daughter, a son, a father, a grandmother, a caregiver, a friend, a peacemaker, an idea person, a jokester, a wife, a husband, a sister, a brother, a kind stranger.

You are many things to many people. How you earn your livelihood does not always reflect the kind of person you are on the inside – the character traits you possess when there is no one watching. Ideally, we choose a career that never, ever feels like a job – maybe a challenge sometimes – but not work. We get paid to do what we love and so we do our “job” exceptionally well.

You’ll find interview tips here and how to make things right even after you told your boss where to put it (!) after he fired you. In a split second, life as we know it can and does change. It’s time to get up and get on with living. Do you want to spend the rest of your life at a job just because someone offered it to you? Do you want to spend your precious, non-renewable time doing just anything? At the end of the day, do you sleep soundly knowing that the people you love know you love them – not by your words, but through the actions you chose to take to affirm that love?

Though you may not agree today, some day, you will – it doesn’t matter what kind of car you drive, what label you sport on your shirt, what purse you carry, or what wine you drink. What matters most is how have you been of service to others. Have you made the day better for someone else? Have you eased someone else’s pain, worry, loneliness, or stress? How have you helped someone else? Have you left things better than how you found them?

Are you utilizing the gifts God has given to you personally?

So, if you got fired today, or if you (finally) quit or you got downsized with everybody else from the job you’ve been at just a few weeks or since you quit high school – congratulations! God is splashing your sun-warmed face with some cool ocean water. He is waking you up. Shaking you up.

Today’s the day! There’s no need to watch that movie again, you already know what happens. There’s no reason to watch someone else’s reality. Put the remote away. Hug your mom. Thank a cashier by name. Take your dog for a walk. Look up at the stars. Nap beneath a tree. Call your grandpa. Forgive freely. Learn to play an instrument. Read a book with someone. Whirl a frisbee. Rub your dog’s belly. Learn Qi Gong. Go fishing with your dad. Listen ATTENTIVELY. Play with kids. Make something with your hands. Love unconditionally. Do a cartwheel.

Wear those holy jeans in public.

Stop rushing.

Be focused.

Listen.

Breathe, deeply.

Pray.

I first heard the song over a decade ago during one of my many ventures to Arizona; I bought the CD in a little shop in the town of Scottsdale and, though I have since added several similar CDs to my collection, find myself playing this particular CD quite often!
