Dreaming vs. Doing

No matter where you are right now on your life’s path ~ you have the ability to alter the course, change the direction, get off the beaten path, or follow your current compass. And today is the day to make that decision and get busy acting, doing, living.

Everyone is given 24 hours in a day. Everyone. What you choose to do today can help move you forward and closer to bringing your dreams to fruition, can hold you back another day, or worse, stop you cold in your tracks. What are you going to do today? With these 24 hours? Are you going to sit back and dream of days gone by or ideas not yet conceptualized? Or are you going to do at least one thing today to bring you closer to the person you were always meant to be and the life you always imagined you’d be living?

Whatever your circumstance, whatever your challenge, whatever your prayer, as long as you are still breating, there is hope. There are things to be done, goals to be set, dreams to be fullfilled.

Stop waiting for the phone to ring, the opportunity to knock, and the offer to come aboard. Set, make, and acualize your own dreams, your own reality. Spending the day crying, regretting, watching TV, sleeping, wondering, and dreaming isn’t productive.

Pray. Get moving. Get doing. Write those notes, visit those you love, be of service to others, rescue an animal, do some sit-ups, go through that box of stuff, give away things that you know others would enjoy, and keep the faith.

God has blessed each of us with the gift of thought. The gift of choice. The gift to dream and to make dreams reality. Embrace that gift. Today. Right now.

Are you a dreamer or a do-er?
